School History
Methodist primary School Sawa was founded on 1st of Sept. 1944 by Rev. Of Mellor, a missionaryof Methodist mission. The Methodist church of Nigeria missionaries came to preach the gospel in Nigeria. The record of the post of the past headteachers from 1944 upto1960 could not be find. The School was burgled in 1958 and all the record about the school was made away with. In 1955 the School was taking over by the then Western region government under the premiership of late Chief Obafemi Awolowo and since then be finance and maintain by the succeeding administration.
