School History
Sometime in 1978, the proprietress Dr. (Mrs) Olufunke O. Adegbeyeni, had the inspiration to start a school. Initially, she thought that the idea was for nursery/primary school to be sited somewhere in Ikeja. The idea later concretised into the setting up of continuing education centre known as Laurels Tutors in November, !988. Later, the Lord expanded the vision to that of a model secondary school offering excellent facilities and utilizing the services of dedicated and highly qualified teachers for the education of young boys and girls who will make a difference to their world. This led to the establishment of laurels academy on 15th September, 1997 the school started on its present site
