School History

NEWLONDON is a nursery and primary school that renders formal educational services to members of the public. The school took its origin like a biblical mustard seed when it started in form of home lesson and day-care (creche) at No. 3, Odunlami Street, Shomolu under the auspices of the Holy Spirit and the physical control of the proprietress Mrs. Umade E. Felicia. The official inauguration took place at the present site, No. A Emmanuel Kolawole Street, Shomolu in September, 1995 as a result of need for expansion and increase in enrolment rate up to Primary/Basic classes. The school operates between the hours of 8:00am - 12:30pm for Nursery and 8:00am -3:00pm for primary classes Mondays - Thursday but on Fridays, while the resumption time is the same, the closing time is 1:30pm because of society meetings. The academic staff include the head teacher, his/her assistance classroom teachers, secretary, bursar and clerks. The non-academic staff include the gateman, the cleaners, nannies, the cookers, driver. As a matter of fact, the school got its approval from Lagos State Ministry of Education in 2007.
