Our Mission Statement
Ebenezer Montessori School seeks t implement the philosophy, practices and curriculum of Dr. Maria Montessori and her method of education. To this end we have created challenging learning environment that is engaging and responsive to each child at each stage of development and also encourages high expectation for success through development –appropriate instruction that allows for individual differences and learning styles. Our school promotes a safe, orderly, caring and supportive environment. Each student’s self-esteem is fostered by positive relationships with students and staff. We strive to have our parents, teachers, and community members actively involved in our students’ learning. Objectives 1. To provide a safe, nurturing environment for learning where individual is recognized and diversity is celebrated. 2. To cultivate, recognize and respect the opinions and contributions of children, parents and teachers. 3. To provide instruction that encourages development of each child’s practical, cognitive, physical, social and moral potential. 4. To present a curriculum that is intellectually stimulating and developmentally appropriate 5. To encourage initiative, self-discipline, critical thinking and creative approaches to problem –solving. 6. To foster the values of good citizenship through community service, civic awareness, and development of leadership potential.
  
School History
Ebenezer Montessori School was establish in May 3rd 1993 by a renowned educationist, Chief (Mrs.) B.A. Efuniyi . It started with 5 pupils to the glory of God this has risen to about 200. It also started with one wooden structure and a story building, but today we have two magnificent purpose-built structures. It has about thirty five teachers on roll and the school has continued effort on the managerial team and dedicated teachers.
