School History
Corona School Gbagada was started by the Corona Women's Society of Lagos as their second school in Ebute Metta in 1956. Gbagada school to an extent can described as a school on transit The school moved from Ebute Metta to Yaba in 1960, and was located at 368 Herbert Macaulay Road. The compound occupied by the school at Yaba was eventually taken over by the military. The school finally relocated to its present site in Gbagada popularly reffered to as ''THE VALLEY OF JOY AND PEACE" in October, 1974. Over the years, the school has produced a number of headmistress when the school moved from Yaba to Gbagada, Mrs. Jean Wilton, Mrs. M.P.Thomas, Mrs. C.A. Adigwe, Mrs. Willy Harry, Mrs. M.O. Segun, Mrs. Maureen Ihonor and Mrs.Olanike R. Ogunleye who is the current head of school. Corona School Gbagada is situated at Olujobi Crescent, Gbagada Phase One and is about the most prominet feature within the neighbourhood. It comprises both the primary and Day Nursery Schools. The curiculum is an inclusive mix of the Nigerian, British and international curriculum. The school facility is purpose built and the enviroment is friendly and stimulating. Our teachers are trained both locally and internationally to meet World Class Educational Standards. They incorporate into their teaching methodology, the most modern approch to education delivery, to achieve the desired impact in the lives of the pupils. The facilities for teaching and co-curricular activities are carefully selected in accordance with our mission to raise a total child who is also a global citizen.
