Our Mission Statement
Goals for Schools of the Holy Child Jesus Mission Statement Schools of the Holy Child Jesus share in the mission of the mission of society of the Holy Child Jesus which is "to help others to believe that God lives and acts in them and in our world, and to rejoice in the presence". The Schools, committed by heritage to the educational mission of the Catholic Church through the philosophy and spirituality of Cornelia connelly, endeavour to develop mature persons capable of marking choices which enrich their own lives and contribute to the lives of others.
  
School History
Holy Child College, S/W Ikoyi, Lagos, was founded by the society of the Holy Child Jesus in 1945 at the invention of the late Archbishop Leo Taylor who wanted a good secondary education for girls in his archdiocese. The Society of the Holy Child Jesus was founded by Rev. Mother Cornelia Cornnelly in 1846 in English, was then well known all over the world for its educational programme for girls. Holy Child College, Lagos, started on the 9th of April, 1945 with thirty students and four Nuns. The College which started very modestly has produced and is still producing prominent women in the country amongst whom was the first Female permanent Secretary in the Federal Civil Service. The College has many blocks amongst which are workshop for Introductory Tecnology, Music room, the studio for Visual Arts and the College presently can comfortably accommodate one thousand (1,000) students.

1. A well equipped Computer Center to enable the school move with the Trend in Information and Communication Technology where every child has assess to a laptop and Internet. 2. A well furnished Resource Center.
