School History
"ALARO Comprehensive High School (Now Alaro High School) was established on 13th November, 1978 under the Principalship of MR SOSANYA A.O.. The institution was formally located at the Ansar-Ud-Deen Modern School before moving to the permanent site at IRAYE OKE . The site was donated by chief Ayotunde Seriki. Prior to the establishment of ALARO High School, Chief Ayotunde Seriki founded a School Ayotunde Grammar School which fell a victim of Government take over of Schools in the last quarter of the seventies. To compound the problems the old modern schools were faced out there was need for school to accommodate the over increasing primary school graduates who were seeking admission to secondary schools. A group of philanthropist and we'll meaning elites and indigenes of EPE Division put heads together to establish a Community High School Alaro Community Comprehensive High School. The School started with 350 students with 50 students in a class and with eight members of staff including the principal and Vice Principal. The first set graduated in the year 1983. Below were the names of the principals and the day of their assumption of duty 1. Mr SOSANYA A.O. 6th Feb. 1980 2. Mr Ugwu A E. 14th Jan. 1985 3. Mr Olasunkanmi 5th August 1986 4. Mr John Oyeniyi Raji 10th Sept. 1990 5. Mr BALOGUN R.A. 10th Sept. 1992 6. Mr Metibrmu C A. 20th Oct. 1995. 7. Mr Adofo P. 13th Nov. 1997. The school grew rapidly, became the foremost Secondary School in EPE and at a point in time became over populated and the students formed the pioneering students of the present Igunmodede College EPE. The education law of 6-3-3-4 necessitates the ALARO Junior High School on 6th January, 2003. Below were the names of the Principals for the Junior School; 1. Alhaja Ofunbekun A.B. 2. Mr Fakorede Phelemon Banjo 3. Mr Onike Olanrewaju 4. Mr Adeaga S.O. I 5. Mr Yisau T.A. 6. Mr Omotunde I.A. 7. Mrs Mosebolatan 8. Mrs Oluwo O.O 9. Mr Adeleye A.A. 10. Mrs OYESOLA A. O.
