School History
Athens college was established on the 10th of Sept, 2012. The proprietress of the school Mrs. Ojo-Ijelekhai Oladayo, before the establishment of the school had operated a tutorial center, under the name Witfield. Her love for education and zeal to students excel was very high. The college was opened to train, nurture and mould character of students for future challenges. Also, the decadence in the educational sector propelled her desire to intervene and correct the deplorable state of education. The name of the school Athens college was exceptional. Athens is the present day capital of Greece. However, in classical time, it was the home of learning and the origin of modern inventions and knowledge, including Mathematics, Philosophy Sciences, Literature, Drama, Medicine, Religion and others. The teachers in Athens are as much preoccupied with overseeing the child's good conduct and formation of his/her characters as with directing their progress in the various subjects.
