The school was formerly known as Ireti Primary School 2. It was carved out of Ireti Primary School Under the leadership of Mr. Coker in 1976 and the two schools so formed were then known as Ireti Pry School 1 and 2 .On the 20th April .1982 following the directive from the school management board ,the school was renamed Hope Pry School during the tenure of C.A. Ugorji
