School History
The school which was established on the 6th of September, 1982 started her operation from a building at the middle of LAKOWE town (where the current central mosque of the town is sited) and with only 10 students and 2 teachers. The pioneer principal was Mr Balogun. After spending about 3 months at the building, the school was moved to the current (permanent) site and Mr Y. O. Ocholo, a Ghanian, became the second principal. The school then had two teachers, Mr Ofurio a Ghanian and the Maths teacher and Mr Ogodekpe the English language teacher. The three official staff of the school were been assisted by National Youth Service Corps members. The 3rd principal was Mr Pasede followed by Mr Femi Akinremisi and then Mr L. O. Obinni between July 13th 1992 and 17th of October 1995. The 6th principal, Mr Akinpelu J. K. was in the from October 27th 1995 to 5th 2003. Mr Bejide R became the principal of Iwerekun Community Senior High school Lakowe on the 6th of January 2003 when schools in Lagos State were divided into Junior and Senior Schools. Mr Bejide ruled the school till 15th October 2008 when Mrs E. A. Otemuyiwa took over from him to reposition the school. Mrs. Otemuyiwa took over the principalship of the school on the 16th October 2008 enviably till 25th September 2014 when he handed over the school to Mr Fakorede, P. Banji, who had been on seat to date.
