School History

The history of the school is dated back to 1987 when i was a teacher at St, Peters Nursery/Primary school. I won some awards and commendation for outstanding performance. The idea came to me to establish a school, I implemented the idea by printing handbills and making adequate preparation for the take-off of the school. The name JOSSY NURSERY/PRIMARY SCHOOL was the short form of my own name JOSEPHINE On the 3rd day of March 1987, the school started with six (6) pupils and two (2) teachers. In the year 1995, the proprietor of Starlight Nursery/Primary School came to the school to give me pieces of advice on how to get the school registered. Getting to the school, He advised me to get a bigger accommodation.By the Grace of GOD, in 1999, the school was successful in getting a bigger accommodation. The new accommodation is situated at 63B, Church street, Ijora Badia. The new accommodation has been renovated for conducive learning; May 4th 2000, the school started to operate in the new accommodation.
