School History

The school was founded in January, 1970 by late Chief (Mrs) Elizabeth Nneka Njideaka, a woman of vision whose mission was to contribute her quota to the educational uplift of the Nigeria Child. The school started nursery school at no 3 Adamu Orisa Street, Surulere where she grew into primary school and relocat ed to Mushin . The school places high premium on strong spiritual, moral and academic excellence which has showcased in her products. In 1988, the school got her approval to operate Nursery and Primary Schools in Lagos State from the Ministry of Education,Alausa. Ever since then, till now we have educated over 2500 Nigerians Children whom have grown to become Captains of Industries both locally and globally. By 1990, the founder Chief (Mrs) Elizabeth Nneka Njideaka (Yeye Oge of Mushin) passed on the and handed the baton to her son Mr. Njideaka Kevin who have continued in ensuring that the schools philosophy, standards and ethics are maintained and built upon. With a total continued teaching experience of over 100 years, Santa Maria Private School is blazing a trial for others to follow.
