School History
Army Children high school, Epe was founded in 7th September 1981, by the Lagos State Government for the Army Children HQ 311 FAR EPE. After the relocation of the soldiers to Alamala Abeokuta in 1996, Army children high school was moved to the mammy market, when the Lagos State Government moved some departments of Lagos State University from Ojo to Epe. Army Children Junior High School came into existence on the 6th January 2003, due to government policy splitting schools into Junior and senior secondary schools. The school has since then been faced with the challenges of inadequate classrooms, furniture, lack of electricity and being without fence. Since the inception of the Lagos Eko Secondary Education Project grant, the school now has two electric power generators, bore hole, good toilets facilities, I.C.T room, with four desktop computers, Basic Science laboratory, library facilities, ultra – modern public address system, photocopy machine, and an internet modem. The School has a Student population of 906 including 526 male and 380 female students. It has 18 academic staff and 5 non academic staff.
