School History

Ransome Kuti Memorial Grammar School, Mushin was founded as Ojuelegba Grammar School on the 7th September,1981 with a population of 245 students put in 6 arms of js1 on the premises of Stadium High School, Surulere.There were 6 teachers. On the 17th October,1987 the school moved to its present site. Rev. S.O. Olaoye the founding Principal was later transferred to Government College, Eric Moore. Mrs.Ola Mbonu resumed duty as the Principal of the School on 25th June,1984. On 29th March,1985, the school moved to St.Thomas Acquinas premises to allow Cappa and D'Alber to construct the two new Ultra Modern Proto-type Blocks of Classrooms in the premises. On 31st January,1985 the edifices were commissioned by the Military Governor, Group Captain Gbolahan Mudashiru. It was on that day the school was named Ransome Kuti Memorial Grammar School.
