School History
The school was a private school established by Mr. Williams in 1976, Alhaji Lateef Jankade as the civilian Governorof Lagos State in an attempt to create more school took it over from the private owner in 1979. It was later to be one of the public school returned to original owners under the then Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2001/2002 In 2008, due to poor management of some of the schools handed over to original owners, His Excellency Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), made Iju Grammar School one of the schools withdrawn from Private owner so that i could be well managed by the government. The school started functioning officially on 22nd January, 2009 as Iju Senior Grammar School
