The school was founded in 1964 by Mrs Eva Adebayo Adelaja.The school was formerly known as Girls Secondary School. The school is forty nine years old. it was privately owned until 1969 when it became grant aided by the Lagos State Government .In 1974 it was completely taken over by the government

We intend to benchmark Grange School situated in Ikeja by uplifting the standard of performance in all ramifications (Academics, Sports and Co curricular Activities.This will enable the children complete favourably with those from private schools .There be provision for recreational and other infrastructural materials that will make learning become fun and the environment conducive .In essence ,the schools mission and vision will be accomplished .We also look forward to our school becoming a center of attraction for other schools in our locality in term of books fair, cultural display, Arts Exhibition,Choral Competition,to mention just a few
