School History
The school was established in the year 1965 as Nigerian premier College Yaba by Rev. Martins.It is a co educational school which is situated at 396 Herbert Macaulay Street, Yaba. The school was taken over in July, 1976 by the Government and the name was changed to Jibowu High School, Yaba in 1980/81 session.The name was changed again in October 2001 to Jibowu Junior High School. When Lagos State Government divided schools in Somolu and Mainland Local Government Area into Senior and Junior Secondary School. The school uniform is cream over Navy Blue.the school moto is WORK AND PLAY
